Full Description:
Working as an Estimator and reporting to the Estimator Manager, you should have previous experience in estimating within a relevant construction industry related field and ideally be competent in using Excel and Word. Our clients customers are mainly large businesses, such as PFI consortia, local authorities, construction companies, financial institutions, major retailers, department stores and branded goods companies. The company specialises in the education, retail, healthcare, accommodation, corporate offices and financial services sectors and are often the only business with sufficient resources to handle a number of major projects simultaneously. You should have a basic knowledge in Contract Law as well as a good level of commerciality. You will have full responsibility for all aspects of preparing straightforward tenders up to £1m in value and you will help maintain a good working relationship with other team members, internal and external clients and be flexible to meet the needs of the business. You will ensure that estimates are prepared in an accurate and timely manner using MS Excel, MS Word and Cimpac and help win work which results in profit in line or exceeding the estimate. You will keep and maintain accurate records of tenders submitted including revision and produce accurate estimates for tender review. You will also need to transfer information to other departments in line with the business process to allow successful project execution. If you would like further information please get in touch.
